Job summary

Planned Systems International seeks an AFSOC Mission Rehearsal Training Aircrew Controller at Hurlburt Field. The role trains participants in field environment tasks, supports after-action inputs, and ensures training demonstrations meet plan standards.

Extensive SOF aircrew procedures knowledge is required, including tactics, training, and communications. Role involves monitoring operations across multiple sites and collaborating with government stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Active T3 investigation and ability to obtain/maintain required security clearances.
• Valid civilian driver's license for the vehicle(s) to be operated.
• Working knowledge of how military, federal, state and local agencies interface with operations.
• Complete AFSOC LZSO/DZSO training, local orientation, and certification within 30 days of start.
• Ability to safely lift and carry at least 50 pounds.
• Maintain all required qualifications to perform duties during the period.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Proficient at role-playing JTAC and GFC, including scheme of maneuver and radio communications.
• Qualified to simulate directing military aircraft to engage in close air support and other offensive air operations.
• Able to conduct LZ/DZ usability assessments and weather observations per applicable standards.
• Able to marshal aircraft per AFMAN 11-218.
• Proficient with enemy TTPs.
• Knowledgeable in navigation, GPS, MGRS coordinates, and mission geography.
• Capable of emulating communications from air assets used for special operations.
• Capable of operating a wide range of equipment, radios, GPS, lights and pyrotechnics.
• Operate radios in secure mode with COMSEC.
• Maintain inventory of government provided equipment.
• Knowledge of Government regulations, manuals, and publications related to Command and Control.
• Strong interpersonal, analytical, organizational, and management skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Controls aircraft range entry/exit and manages LZ/DZ operations.
• Oversee and recommend actions to government officials on safe execution of AFSOC aircraft.
• Track and monitor suspense systems and review correspondence for proper classification and dissemination.
• Support aircrew and ground training sorties by emulating friendly and opposing forces.
• Direct personnel to mimic enemy TTPs.
• Adapt to new government equipment configurations and modernization.
• Apply new techniques and technologies to keep procedures aligned with mission requirements.
