Job summary

Huntington Ingalls Industries is seeking a Test & Evaluation Engineer to design, plan, execute, analyze, and report on tests that assess performance, security, and reliability of DoD systems. Role supports SOCOM and FMS, ensuring readiness and adherence to requirements.

The engineer will apply DoD T&E methodologies, develop documentation, and work with government and contractor partners. Top Secret clearance required for U.S. SOCOM missions.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of DoD Test & Evaluation processes and data analysis methods.
• Experience developing test plans, validation procedures, and test artifacts.
• Ability to perform lab-based testing and troubleshoot hardware/software issues.

Responsibilities

• Apply DoD T&E processes in test design, planning, execution, analysis and reporting.
• Conduct T&E activities to verify system performance and security of variants.
• Document updates to equipment designs, security architectures, and configurations.
• Develop test plans, validation plans and procedures.
• Perform lab tests to validate performance and quality.
• Analyze test data and provide recommendations to stakeholders.
• Identify and troubleshoot hardware/software issues during testing.
• Validate and document product solutions with clear reports.
• Develop improved test methodologies and data collection techniques.
• Support DoD test facilities and government test plans with SOCOM personnel.
• Ensure all test activities follow DoD standards and security considerations.
