Job summary

Mission Technologies, a division of HII, seeks an RF Engineer to support SOCOM. The role covers analysis, design, development and sustainment of wireless and RF systems for mission-critical operations across communications, radar, EW and related SOCOM systems.

The successful candidate will apply RF theory, perform measurements, and develop technical documentation while ensuring performance, reliability, and readiness. A Top-Secret clearance is required and on-site work in Tampa is expected.

Qualifications

Experience providing RF engineering or wireless communications support to SOCOM/DoD or other government defense efforts.
Strong understanding of RF theory, propagation, antenna systems, and wireless network engineering principles.
Experience designing, developing, validating RF links, architectures, and system performance.
Proficiency with RF measurement tools, diagnostic equipment, and test instrumentation.
Ability to analyze network statistics and drive-test data, identify deficiencies, and recommend improvements.
Experience modeling and simulation of RF circuits, propagation, and antenna patterns.
Ability to develop technical documentation, procedures, test plans, and engineering reports in accordance with DoD expectations.
Clearance: Top-Secret is required.

Responsibilities

Analyze, design, and develop wireless telecommunications and RF capabilities to support SOCOM requirements.
Design, plan, establish, and optimize wireless networks and RF architectures.
Develop, evaluate, and enhance RF network infrastructures; provide recommendations for upgrades.
Conduct technical assessments from concept development through system launch.
Design and validate RF link performance, quality, and reliability across environments.
Use RF measurement tools to evaluate, tune, and optimize equipment.
Develop and document manuals and engineering procedures for RF systems.
Monitor and optimize networks by adjusting RF parameters and components.
Support RF system integration, testing, and optimization across communications, radar, and EW systems.
Create technical reports for government and contractor stakeholders.
