Assistant Professor of Social Work – Department of Sociology

The Department of Sociology at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona seeks a tenure‑track faculty member to teach social work courses with an emphasis on micro‑level practice. The successful candidate will contribute to teaching, advising, research, and service, and will play a key role in the development of the Department’s BSW program.

Responsibilities

Minimum Requirements

Preferred/Desired Qualifications
  • Evidence of teaching across the Department’s curriculum.
  • Demonstrated teaching excellence through evaluations, pedagogical innovations, or related evidence.
  • Active scholarly agenda with opportunities for student research.
  • Experience mentoring diverse undergraduate students.
  • Curriculum and/or program development experience.
  • Two years post‑MSW practice experience.
