Job summary

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Social Work, Sociology, or related social science completed by appointment start.
• MSW from a CSWE accredited university.
• University teaching experience as instructor of record and/or teaching assistant.

Responsibilities

• Teach four courses per semester, with one course release during initial years.
• Develop and evaluate course curricula with antiracist and anti‑oppressive perspectives.
• Advising and mentoring students, including undergraduate research and graduate mentoring.
• Engage in scholarly research and contribute to the department’s agenda.
• Serve on departmental, university, and community service committees.
• Assist in planning and launching the BSW program.
