Job summary

The Stepping Stones Group is seeking a School Social Worker to provide counseling, support, and intervention services to students in a full-time school-based role.

Collaborate with families, teachers, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams to promote social-emotional well-being and academic success. You will assist with crisis intervention, planning, and coordination of community resources while maintaining thorough documentation and attending IEP meetings.

Qualifications

• Must hold MSW and Michigan approval for School Social Worker
• Experience supporting students with disabilities in schools
• Knowledge of special education laws, procedures, and IEPs
• Ability to engage students, families, and teams in virtual settings

Responsibilities

• Provide counseling, support, and intervention services to students
• Collaborate with families, teachers, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams
• Support students' social-emotional well-being and academic success
• Assist with crisis intervention, behavioral planning, and community resource coordination
• Maintain accurate documentation and participate in IEP and student support meetings as needed
