Pediatric Developmental Services (PDS) is seeking a School Social Worker to support students and families, addressing social and emotional needs within a school setting. You will participate in IEP development and collaborate with school staff to promote student well-being and success.

The role requires a state social work license and a Master’s in Social Work, with preference for pediatric mental health experience.

Qualifikationen

• Experience or specialized training in pediatric mental health preferred.
• Ability to work independently and maintain ethical and accountability standards.
• Demonstrates interpersonal skills, and communicates effectively and courteously both verbally and in writing.
• Has the ability to coordinate activities and work effectively with professional staff, support staff, parents, and representatives from agencies outside the school system.

• Participate in a multi-tiered system of support for students with social/emotional and behavioral needs, including participation in inter-disciplinary meetings to evaluate and discuss the diagnosis and treatment of students.

• Collaborate with and coach families and staff, during weekly team meetings and follow-up meetings, to support social and emotional development.
• Adhere to federal/state/local procedures for record keeping, eligibility documentation, timelines and procedural safeguards.
• Develop and maintain a schedule to ensure compliance with all required meetings and services.
