Pediatric Developmental Services (PDS) is hiring a School Social Worker (LCSW) to support students and families across the nation. The role emphasizes counseling, collaboration, and participation in IEP development, with a focus on social and emotional well-being.

The candidate should hold an LCSW and state license, with a Master’s degree. Experience in pediatric mental health and strong communication skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• State Social Worker License Required.
• Master's Degree.
• LCSW.
• Experience or specialized training in pediatric mental health is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and maintain ethical and accountability standards.
• Demonstrates interpersonal skills, and communicates effectively and courteously both verbally and in writing.
• Has the ability to coordinate activities and work effectively with professional staff, support staff, parents, and representatives from agencies outside the school system.

Responsabilités

• Providing counseling services to students and their parents.
• Participate in a multi-tiered system of support for students with social/emotional and behavioral needs, including participation in inter-disciplinary meetings to evaluate and discuss the diagnosis and treatment of students.
• Participating in initial IEP and annual IEP development as appropriate.
• Collaborate with and coach families and staff, during weekly team meetings and follow-up meetings, to support social and emotional development.
• Adhere to federal/state/local procedures for record keeping, eligibility documentation, timelines and procedural safeguards.
• Develop and maintain a schedule to ensure compliance with all required meetings and services.

SCHOOL SOCIAL WORKER RESPONSIBILITIES
