Job summary

Montefiore Health System is seeking a Licensed MSW or limited permit for the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. The associate will perform biopsychosocial assessments and work in an interdisciplinary team, primarily during the day shift. The ideal candidate will hold the appropriate NY State licensure and preferably have experience in acute treatment settings.

The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the Moses Division of Montefiore is seeking a Licensed MSW or limited permit to join our team. The associate will work within an interdisciplinary team. Responsibilities include completing biopsychosocial assessments, maintaining regular contact with patients to support discharge readiness, and disposition planning. The associate must adhere to documentation practices in line with Department of Health and hospital guidelines.

The shift for this position is Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm. The position may require coverage at other locations based on departmental needs.

Job Requirements:

• NY Licensed LMSW/LCSW, or a limited permit valid for no more than six months at Montefiore Medical Center
• Knowledge of DSM-V is required.
• Experience or training in acute treatment settings (emergency room, CPEP, inpatient) is strongly preferred.
• Spanish speaking proficiency is preferred but not required.
