Job summary

Silverado is seeking a Director of Resident and Family Services (MSW) in Houston, TX. You will lead psychosocial support for residents and families, and oversee staff across departments to enhance quality of life for memory care residents.

You will engage in community outreach, staff development, and ongoing education, with potential after-hours duties as needed. This role emphasizes compassionate leadership within a top-performing memory care provider.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience working with older adults.
• Experience supporting individuals with memory impairment and their families desirable.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
• Reliable transportation to meet attendance and outreach needs.
• May be required to work outside regular hours depending on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Support residents and families in understanding psychosocial challenges of aging and dementia.
• Promote Silverado to civic and memory impairment groups.
• Assist with interviewing, hiring, and performance evaluations of team members under supervision.
• Maintain continuing education through studies, seminars, and workshops.
• Participate in in-services, staff meetings, and case conferences.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Support residents and families in understanding and coping with the psychosocial challenges of aging and dementia

• May be required to work outside of regular hours depending on business needs

Anticipated pay range

$76,000 - $81,000 USD
