Job summary

The Social Worker Masters collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to provide input in the development of the plan of care for those patients requiring social work intervention. The Social Worker Masters provides medically necessary intervention to patients who have social or emotional problems that are, or are expected to be, impediment(s) to the effective treatment of the medical condition and/or rate of recovery. Additionally, the Social Worker Masters provides these services in accordance with physician’s orders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Baccalaureate degree in Social Work (BSW) or Master’s degree from a school of social work accredited by the Council on Social Work Education per state/client requirements required

• Minimum of one (1) year of social work experience in a health care environment

• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice

• Current CPR if applicable

• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
