Universal Health Services in Colorado is seeking a PRN Social Worker to join a fast-paced hospital setting across multiple units. You will perform psychosocial assessments, discharge planning, case management, and participate in treatment planning as part of a multidisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate has an MSW, licensure or eligibility, and 1-2 years of mental health experience; strong communication and crisis-management skills are essential. On-site role with opportunities for growth.

• MSW required or equivalent in social work.

• 1-2 years mental health inpatient experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Our Social Workers provide clinical social work services on each of our five units (general adult mental health, adolescent, two intensive treatment units and a detox/dual diagnosis unit). Our Social Workers practice from a trauma informed, strengths based perspective and work with our patients and their support systems to set them up for success in the hospital and after discharge. Our Social Workers are responsible for psychosocial assessments, daily process group, participation in daily treatment planning, processing mental health certifications, and discharge planning/case management services with referral sources and other departments within the hospital. Our Social Workers are a vital part of the treatment team and provide a balanced and patient centered approach to care. This is a dynamic, fast-paced position with many opportunities for growth and development. An ideal candidate will be self motivated, organized, able to multitask and comfortable with crisis.

Job Duties

• Provide patients and families with assessment, interventions, support, advocacy, and case management as a primary provider and/or as ancillary support to the primary medical provider.
• Practices as a member of multi-disciplinary team, in the provision of clinical intervention and support to patients and families.
• Assesses, develops treatment plans, and intervenes to address the needs identified in the assessment and by the Team.
• Utilizes knowledge of culture, age, and developmental stages to develop treatment plans and provide interventions, either as an independent practitioner or as a member of a clinical team.
• Supervision towards licensure available.
• This is a PRNposition. Applicantmust be available for a required minimum of 4 (four) shifts per month, Must have weekday availability.

Qualifications

• The ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment is critical.
• Master's degree in Social Work, Clinical/Counseling Psychology or Social Services related fieldREQUIRED. Licensure preferred.
• 1-2 years mental health experience preferred. Prior experience working with a psychiatric mental health inpatient setting preferred.
• License eligible degree required; must be able to register with DORA and be willing to work towards LCSW, LMFT or LPC if not already licensed.
• Knowledge of case management, discharge planning, group leadership skills, age specific growth and development, crisis and behavior management, family therapy theory and practice is preferred.
• Social Workers must demonstrate flexibility for reassignment to units providing care to varied populations including, adults, adolescents, and dually diagnosed patients in an inpatient hospital setting.
