Job summary

The Oregon School District is seeking a school social worker to fill a leave of absence for the remainder of the 2026-27 school year. This role will serve multiple elementary schools and focus on supporting students' social, emotional, and mental health needs.

Ideal candidates will have experience working with elementary students, collaborate with families and community resources, and contribute to an equity-minded, student-centered environment through proactive, creative interventions.

The Oregon School District is looking for a school social worker to fill a leave of absence for the rest of the 26-27 school year. This position would serve multiple elementary level schools.

This position will:

• Require the ability to serve as a liaison between the school's families and community agencies/resources
• Provide social, emotional, and mental health interventions to individuals and groups of students
• Work collaboratively and communicate clearly with all stakeholders
• Think creatively about how to meet the needs of our students
• Support students (mental health, academic, basic needs, attendance, behavior, etc.)
• Be self-motivated, organized, committed to educational equity and life long learning

The ideal candidate will also have successful experience working with elementary students.
