Job summary

Catholic Health is seeking a Per Diem Social Worker at Good Samaritan University Hospital on Long Island. You will provide medical social work services to patients and families, participate in care planning, and collaborate with clinical teams to support safe, quality care.

The ideal candidate has a Master's in Social Work, NY licensure (LMSW/LCSW), and a current BLS certification. Acute care experience is preferred; MS Office and strong keyboarding skills are essential for documentation.

We are looking for a Per Diem Social Worker to join our team!

Responsibilities

• Maintain involvement with patients and families and participate in staff consultations, assessments and evaluations
• Keeps informed of the latest professional practices and trends and performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Master's degree in Social Work
• Minimum of 2 years medical social work preferred
• New York State Licensure
• Clinical experience preferred
• Must display proficient MS Office and strong keyboarding skills
• Certification as a LMSW or LCSW required
• Must be certified in Basic Life Support (BLS)- American Heart Association only accepted.
• Acute medical hospital experience and/or experience in a health care environment preferred

Salary Range

USD $52.08 - USD $52.08 /Hr.
