Job summary

Catholic Health is seeking a full-time Social Worker to join Good Samaritan University Hospital on Long Island. The role involves ongoing involvement with patients and families, participating in staff consultations, assessments and evaluations to support quality care.

Requirements include a Master’s degree in Social Work, New York State LMSW/LCSW licensure, BLS certification, and at least two years of medical social work experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain involvement with patients and families and participate in staff consultations, assessments and evaluations
• Keeps informed of the latest professional practices and trends and performsother duties as assigned

Requirements

• Master's degree in Social Work
• Minimum of 2 years medical social work preferred
• New York State Licensure
• Clinical experience preferred
• Must display proficient MS Office and strong keyboarding skills
• Certification as a LMSW or LCSW required
• Must be certified in Basic Life Support (BLS)- American Heart Association only accepted.
• Acute medical hospital experience and/or experience in a health care environment preferred

Salary Range

USD $41.32 - USD $56.76 /Hr.
