Job summary

Catholic Health is looking for a Full-time Social Worker to join the team at Good Samaritan University Hospital in West Islip, NY. The role involves engaging with patients and families and collaborating with staff for assessments and evaluations.

Candidates must hold a Master's degree in Social Work and have at least 2 years of medical social work experience. Additional certifications include LMSW or LCSW, and Basic Life Support (BLS). An excellent benefits package is included.

We are looking for a Full‑time Social Worker to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain involvement with patients and families and participate in staff consultations, assessments and evaluations.
• Keep informed of the latest professional practices and trends and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Social Work
• Minimum of 2 years medical social work experience preferred
• New York State Licensure
• Clinical experience preferred
• Proficient in MS Office and strong keyboarding skills
• Certification as LMSW or LCSW required
• Must be certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association
• Acute medical hospital experience and/or experience in a healthcare environment preferred

Salary Range

USD $41.32 - $56.76 per hour.
