To further this mission, Callen-Lorde promotes health education and wellness, and advocates for LGBTQ+ health issues.About the Role:We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Social Worker (LMSW/LCSW) to join our Behavioral Health team. The Social Worker provides individual psychotherapy to Callen-Lorde patients and members of their families of choice, along with family/couple and group psychotherapy. This role involves conducting assessments for medical patients seeking behavioral health services, providing crisis intervention, and referring patients within Callen-Lorde or externally as appropriate.Depending on clinic needs, the social worker may work in one or more of the following settings:Article 28 clinic, providing short-term therapy using evidence-based modelsArticle 28 clinic, providing integrated behavioral health assessments and referralsArticle 31 clinic, providing therapy using evidence-based modelsArticle 31 clinic, providing therapy on a walk-in basis using an open-access modelKey ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive behavioral health services within LMSW/LCSW scope of practiceConduct assessments and facilitate appropriate referralsDeliver crisis intervention services when neededProvide individual, family/couples, and group psychotherapyCollaborate with behavioral health management, psychiatry providers, primary care providers, and care coordinatorsMaintain current productivity standards through patient scheduling and monitoringParticipate in program development and quality improvement initiativesWrite letters for patients seeking gender-affirming surgery as appropriateParticipate in agency on-call servicesProvide clinical, administrative, and documentation supervision to staff as assignedWork Schedule:Callen-Lorde's Behavioral Health Clinic is open Monday through Friday.
