Coronaregional in Corona, California is seeking a Per Diem Social Worker (LCSW/LICSW) for a locked psych unit dedicated to adult care. The role involves educating patients and families to help them cope with psychosocial issues related to mental health, as well as conducting quality management and bio-psychosocial assessments.
The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree in social work or a related field, an LCSW license, and at least 2 years of clinical experience. Additional certifications in CPR and Assaultive Behavior Management are required.
SOCIAL WORKER (LCSW/LICSW) Locked psych unit for adults Per Diem
Reporting to the Social Service Supervisor, this position provides education and psycho education to patients and their families or significant others to assist them in coping with psychosocial problems related to acute and chronic mental illness and treatment regimens in order to maximize the patients re‑integration into the home and community settings. Responsibilities also include staff development/training, leading process groups, utilization review, quality management and bio‑psychosocial assessments.
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS
Excellent communication skills required. Knowledge of patient rights, guardianship, conservatorship status.
MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in the field of mental health.
MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EDUCATION
Master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling or a related field required. Assaultive Behavior Management training certificate required within 90 days of hire.
REQUIRED LICENSURE / CERTIFICATIONS
LCSW license required.
Current BLS (CPR) Certificate required from the American Heart Association.
