Job summary

Corona Regional Medical Center is seeking a Senior Social Worker (LCSW/LICSW) for a per diem role in a locked adult psych unit. You will educate patients and families, support reintegration into home and community settings, and participate in staff development, group leadership, utilization review, and biopsychosocial assessments.

Requirements include a Master’s degree in social work (or related field), an LCSW license, and current BLS/CPR certification; Assaultive Behavior Management training

Qualifications

• Assaultive Behavior Management training certificate required within 90 days of hire.
• LCSW license required; Current BLS (CPR) certification required from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

Senior Social Worker (LCSW/LICSW) - Locked psych unit for adults Per Diem. Reporting to the Social Service Supervisor, this position provides education and psychoeducation to patients and their families or significant others to assist them in coping with psychosocial problems related to acute and chronic mental illness and treatment regimens in order to maximize the patients re‑integration into the home and community settings. Responsibilities also include staff development/training, leading process groups, utilization review, quality management and biopsychosocial assessments.

Qualifications

• Essential Knowledge/Skills: Excellent communication skills required. Knowledge of patient rights, guardianship, conservatorship status.
• Minimum Essential Experience: Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in the field of mental health.
• Minimum Essential Education: Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling or a related field required. Assaultive Behavior Management training certificate required within 90 days of hire.
• Required Licensure/Certifications: LCSW license required. Current BLS (CPR) certification required from the American Heart Association.
