Job summary

Halifax County Social Services is seeking a Social Worker II - CPS - Intake to manage intake processing for reports of neglect, abuse and dependency. You will track report status, perform monthly reporting for supervisors and the State, and enter data into PATHNC and state systems.

The role includes providing on-site job shadowing for new hires and meeting state requirements in a busy child welfare environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work or human services with related experience.
• Valid driver’s license in North Carolina.
• Experience processing intake reports by phone, in person, or via electronic means.

Responsibilities

• Process intake reports received by phone, in person, fax, mail, or email.
• Track data for reports received, accepted, denied, and transferred.
• Run monthly reports for managers and the director.
• Enter data into PATHNC and other state systems.
• Provide onsite job shadowing for new hires when time permits.
