Job summary

The 163rd Street Improvement Council, Inc. is seeking a full-time social services professional to provide emotional and mental health counseling within an integrated health care model.

You will assess crises, develop plans to prevent deterioration, and maintain client files while collaborating with community resources. A Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field is preferred and DHS experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, social services or public administration preferred.
• 3+ years of DHS social work experience.
• License is required.

Responsibilities

• Providing emotional and mental health counseling to clients.
• Building strong rapport with clients and making accurate assessments.
• Assessing clients and completing comprehensive psychological evaluations for housing packages.
• Keeping detailed records and maintaining confidentiality.
• Provide effective treatment planning and assist clients in achieving goals.
