Job summary

Children’s Rescue Fund in Brooklyn, NY seeks an experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker to supervise Client Care Coordinators in a shelter program serving homeless families. You will oversee intake assessments, bio-psychosocials, crisis intervention, and referrals to housing and community resources.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and collaboration with DHS and partners to advance clients toward permanent housing.

Qualifications

• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in NY state required.
• Minimum 3–5 years in social services, counseling, crisis intervention or homeless services.
• At least two years supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of TANF, Social Security, Medicare, and related entitlements.
• Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Client Care Coordinators, including recruitment, training, supervision, and scheduling.
• Guide staff in program goals, assessments, and service plans.
• Ensure timely completion of comprehensive bio-psycho-social assessments.
• Coordinate referrals to mental health, housing, and community resources.
• Collaborate with DHS and other agencies; advocate for clients.
• Provide crisis intervention support and group work as needed.
• Ensure documentation is complete and compliant.
