Job summary

S:US is seeking a Social Worker for our men's shelter in Brooklyn. You will coordinate services for homeless clients, conduct psychosocial assessments across systems, and interface with NYC DHS, shelter providers, and community organizations to ensure optimal care.

Located at Ralph Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11233, the role requires LMSW/LMHC licensure and MSW or equivalent. In-person work with a strong emphasis on trauma-informed, strengths-based, family-centered practice; bilingual candidates

Qualifications

• Current licensure – LMSW or LMHC.
• Master’s in social work or equivalent.
• Knowledge of child and adolescent development; emotional/behavioral health; mental health; parent-child relationships; family dynamics; and diagnostic classification.
• Strong expertise in strengths-based, solution-focused, and family-centered practice.
• Knowledge of guidelines, policies and regulations relating to child welfare, safety, permanency and well-being.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team, to assist individuals of diverse ethnicities, backgrounds, ages, and sexual preferences.
