Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Social Worker to focus on family services in George. The role involves assessments, counseling, and connecting families with housing, financial aid, and healthcare resources, within a team dedicated to empowering families in the Western Cape.

You will conduct assessments, provide counseling, and coordinate access to community services while collaborating with educators, healthcare providers, and legal professionals. A hybrid work model is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work.
• Registered with the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP).
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in family support or child welfare services.
• Proficiency in assessment, intervention, and crisis management techniques.
• Strong understanding of family systems theory and child development.
• Excellent report writing and communication skills, with the ability to work remotely for certain administrative tasks.
