Ampersand Therapy LLC is hiring a full-time School Social Worker for a K-12 setting in Thornton, CO. You will support students’ social-emotional well-being, engage families, and work with school teams to improve access to learning through counseling and crisis support.

The role starts August 2026 for a 1.0 FTE, Monday–Friday, with a school-year schedule. We welcome both new and experienced clinicians and offer competitive pay, W-2 with benefits, licensure reimbursement, mileage, and professional

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) or related field.
• Valid Colorado CDE Special Services Provider license with School Social Worker endorsement, or eligibility by start date.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and crisis response skills.
• School-based experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling to support student mental health and social-emotional development.
• Support crisis intervention, de-escalation, and safety planning as needed.
• Participate in IEP, MTSS, and student support team meetings.
• Conduct assessments related to social-emotional and behavioral needs.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and related service providers.
• Support attendance, engagement, and wraparound services for students and families.
• Assist in developing and implementing intervention plans.
• Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant documentation.
• Connect families to community resources and supports.
