The New York State Unified Court System is seeking a Senior Court Analyst (Social Worker) in the New York County Supreme Court - Civil Term. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a Social Worker to support members of the public who visit the courthouse with needs that extend beyond procedural guidance on navigating the court. The Social Worker will be assigned to the Help Center, where self‑represented litigants seek assistance.
The ideal candidate will be able to provide support to individuals who may be experiencing a range of complex personal or social needs. These needs may include, but are not limited to: Mental health concerns, disabilities, experiences of trauma or violence, substance use issues and medical or health‑related needs.
The Social Worker may also be asked to occasionally assist in our Alternative Dispute Resolution Department (ADR) screening matrimonial mediation cases for Intimate Partner Violence (IPV).
Qualifications: One year in the Court Analyst title; or Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and two (2) years of relevant experience; or Master's degree in Public or Business Administration from an accredited college or university and one (1) year of relevant experience; or An equivalent combination of education and experience.
