Job summary

Ampersand Therapy seeks a School Social Worker to support students in an elementary school setting in the Golden area, within Jefferson County School District. You’ll provide individual and group social-emotional support, collaborate with teachers and families, and help students navigate academic, behavioral, and social challenges.

• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Experience supporting students in a school setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support crisis intervention, safety planning, and de-escalation as needed.

About the Role

Hello School Social Workers! Ampersand Therapy is hiring School Social Workers to support students in an elementary school near Golden, CO. In this role, you’ll provide individual and group social-emotional support, collaborate with school teams and families, and help students navigate academic, behavioral, and social challenges. You’ll work closely with educators and other specialists while receiving support from a therapist-owned and operated company.

What You’ll Do

• Conduct assessments related to social-emotional and behavioral needs

What We’re Looking For

• Valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) School Social Worker license/credential
• Master’s degree in Social Work or a related field
• Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
• Experience working with children in a school setting preferred
• Experience supporting students with diverse academic, behavioral, or social-emotional needs preferred
