We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the following position:

Position: Social Work Supervisor / Client Care Coordinator

The Social Work Supervisor / Client Care Coordinator will enhance existing services to include a thorough assessment of families’ long-term goals at intake and development of a service plan to incorporate small achievable tasks leading to permanent housing with enrollment and/or referrals to community resources.

Legacy Family Residence is a transitional family shelter located in the Bronx, where residents learn essential skills that enable them to meet the challenges of everyday life.

Minimum Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Social Work with current LMSW licensure.
• At least 2 years of experience including supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of adult, child, and adolescent development, emotional/behavioral health and mental health, family dynamics, parent-child relationships, and diagnostic classifications.
• Experience using strengths-based, solution-focused, and family-centered practice with diverse client populations; knowledge of child welfare policies, regulations, safety, permanency, and well-being.

Principal Responsibilities

• Supervise Social Workers/Client Care Coordinators.
• Manage a small caseload.
• Assign cases to client coordinators for newly admitted families to be assessed immediately upon admission.
• Develop a schedule for Client Care Coordinators to be onsite 7 days a week, including evening hours.
• Manage program record keeping, data collection, and evaluation of the effectiveness of client care coordinator services for families in shelter.
• Ensure that quality services and interventions are being provided and develop a system for monitoring.
• Provide on-call crisis intervention support.
• Develop community linkages.
• Develop and implement onsite support groups for families.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
