Job summary

AHS Staffing is seeking a School Social Worker for a local contract position in Aurora, Illinois. This full-time in-person role supports middle school and transition-aged students, with a 37.5‑hour workweek and a Monday–Friday schedule.

The ideal candidate holds an Illinois Professional Educator License with School Social Worker endorsement and a Master’s degree in Social Work, with school-based experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Worker endorsement.
• Master's degree in Social Work.
• School-based experience preferred.
• Experience supporting students with diverse social, emotional, behavioral, and educational needs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group social work services to students.
• Support students' social, emotional, behavioral, and educational needs.
• Develop and implement appropriate IEP goals and interventions.
• Participate in IEP meetings, evaluations, and multidisciplinary team meetings.
• Provide crisis intervention and behavioral support as needed.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, administrators, and related service providers.
• Connect students and families with appropriate school and community resources.
• Maintain required documentation and monitor student progress.
