Job summary

Sunbelt Staffing seeks a School Psychologist to support elementary students near Aurora, IL. This full-time, onsite contract runs through the school year with a caseload of 35-45 students.

You'll conduct psychoeducational assessments, help develop IEPs, and collaborate with teachers and families. You will provide crisis intervention, advocate for students, and maintain records while following state and federal requirements.

Qualifications

  • PEL licensure and School Psychologist certification in Illinois.
  • Experience as School Psychologist in an educational setting, preferably with elementary students.
  • Strong assessment, intervention planning and collaboration skills.
  • Commitment to equity, confidentiality and student support.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct psychoeducational assessments and interpret results.
  • Develop IEPs and participate in eligibility meetings.
  • Collaborate with teachers, families and support staff to design interventions.
  • Offer crisis intervention and support as needed.
  • Advocate for students' academic, social and emotional needs.
  • Maintain accurate records and adhere to regulations.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) and active School Psychologist certification

  • Strong communication, consultation, and organizational skills
  • Commitment to equity, confidentiality, and fostering a supportive school atmosphere
