Early College Academy is a charter school that is a Dropout Prevention Credit Recovery High School. Our charter is sponsored by the Educational Service Center of Central Ohio, whose mission is to engage disenfranchised students, low-income youth, first-generation college goers, English language learners, students of color and other young people underrepresented in higher education in a curriculum that has the potential for qualified students to earn college credit. Early College Academy operates on a 4-day work week (Monday-Thursday). Fridays are an optional half-day opportunity to work for additional pay by tutoring students, contacting parents, and to work on assignments, career counseling and to close the academic gap.

Minimum Requirements

Valid Ohio High School Teaching license
Ability to work with diverse cultural backgrounds
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Flexible, resourceful, enthusiastic and high energy level
Must have valid driver's license and personal transportation

Responsibilities

Be willing to create engaging instructional activities that go beyond textbook learning

Attend once weekly Professional Development meetings for faculty
