Social Strategist
As a Social Strategist, you will develop and execute innovative social and digital marketing strategies to build brand advocacy with existing fans and capture the attention of new customers. You will partner with clients and creatives to bring community and brand‑enhancing work to market across all social channels and stages of the customer journey. You will be the day‑to‑day expert, focused on uncovering and articulating cultural insights and social truths, and translating them into actionable briefs and bold programs that set clients apart.
Responsibilities
- Articulate insights gleaned from social, conversational, and community trends, organizing information from observations into strategic and actionable insights.
- Develop social and community strategies, driving the research direction and insights for social campaigns and overseeing day‑to‑day execution.
- Provide guidance on engagement and participation for clients and community managers, identifying and evaluating new opportunities in evolving social media channels.
- Create and document best practices for community management, including workflows, tools, and responsibilities.
- Evaluate, own, and optimize community management successes for clients.
- Coordinate community engagement activations for large‑tier social media and digital campaigns and events across markets.
- Oversee a team, motivating, coaching, providing consistent feedback, and holding team members accountable to successes and setbacks.
- Work collaboratively across teams (XM, Paid, Partnerships, PR, etc.) and functions to ensure that brand communications and marketing objectives and strategies are met.
- Craft influencer/creator archetypes that best fit the needs of a given campaign.
- Help identify and vet influencers/creators to support campaigns that drive results and meet project objectives.
- Assist creator & social account teams in day‑to‑day client management, including presentations, email/chat correspondences, vendor/creator correspondences, and occasional event staffing.
- Provide creative support, offering unique solutions to strategic problems.
- Manage reporting and measurement across social, digital, and influencer campaigns, including crafting frameworks and dashboards against KPIs.
Experience Requirements
- At least five years of experience in social media marketing at a digital agency, integrated marketing agency, or communications firm.
- A passion for social media from both branding and cultural perspectives.
- A deep understanding of best practices across social channels.
- Demonstrated track record of developing and executing creative, engaging, and successful social media advocacy programs for clients.
- Experience in client relations, understanding and assessing a client’s communication needs and meeting those needs through successful social programs.
- Familiarity with social media management tools and platforms (e.g., Instagram, TikTok) and tools such as Infegy, Sprinklr, Sprout, and/or Brandwatch.
- Familiarity with influencer identification and campaign management tools (CreatorIQ and/or Tagger).
- Experience overseeing social media community management and/or influencer programs for a large public brand.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to adapt to new conditions, assignments, and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently in a deadline‑driven process.
- Strong self‑motivated and self‑starting personality.
Compensation
Hiring Rate Minimum: $71,250 annually (minimum will not fall below the applicable state/local minimum salary thresholds)
Hiring Rate Maximum: $95,000 annually
