Job summary

Miami County is seeking a Social Services Supervisor to directly supervise staff across intake, ongoing, or foster/adoption units. The role involves overseeing program operations, staffing, and participating in meetings to coordinate services.

This exempt, full-time position offers comprehensive county benefits, standard Monday–Friday hours, and leadership responsibilities including performance evaluations and staff development for a compassionate team serving the community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work or related field required.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in the program and/or 3 years’ experience as a supervisor.
• Must possess a valid Ohio driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise and manage Social Service staff. Includes setting work duties, tracking and approving employee leave time. Train staff as needed. Counsel and discipline staff as required. Conduct annual employee reviews.
• Oversees the operation of the program division unit assigned.
• Attends meetings and serves on advisory committees.
• Communicates with outside agencies.
