Job summary

State of Mississippi is seeking a Social Services Team Lead for the Community ICF in Long Beach, MS. The role supervises Social Services staff, coordinates daily activities, and liaises with families to plan services for individuals served.

Based at the Community ICF/LB campus, this time-limited supervisory position requires licensure and leadership experience within social work, with responsibilities spanning policy interpretation and interdepartmental collaboration.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform in a professional manner in the Social Worker field.
• Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree and 2–4 years of experience.
• Must have at least a Master’s Degree, be a licensed social worker in Mississippi, and 2–4 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day social service activities for an assigned unit/area and supervise staff.
• Serve as liaison between individuals served, families, and community partners.
• Interpret applicable State and Federal laws and regulations guiding policies and procedures.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to plan training/habilitation and discharge of individuals served.
• Provide Social Services guidance, leadership, training, and supervision for all Social Services staff.
• Prepare social histories by interviewing individuals and families and gather necessary information.
• Maintain client records and ensure compliance with Social Services Policies and Procedures.
