Job summary

State of Mississippi in Jones County, MS is seeking a Social Services Supervisor for the Ellisville State School campus. This full-time role provides guidance to social services staff and acts as a consultant for Community Programs.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree, 3–5 years of experience, and 1–3 years of supervisory experience. The incumbent may need a Master’s degree and/or LMSW/LCSW license; the agency prefers LMSW with a license.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s Degree and 3–5 years of experience, plus 1–3 years of supervisory experience.
• Master’s Degree and/or social worker’s license may be required by the appointing authority.
• Hiring agency prefers Master’s Degree and LMSW license; LCSW license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise social services staff on campus and serve as a consultant for Community Programs.
• Attend meetings in the absence of a Licensed Social Worker or social services staff; complete CFA, social evaluations, programs, progress notes, revisions, and family communications.
• Provide in-service education in the unit and facility regarding rights, privacy, working with families, and updating social work policies.
• Serve as a member of the Habilitation Team.
