Job summary

The WV Department of Human Services seeks a Social Services District Manager to lead CPS and Youth Services programs across Brooke, Hancock, and Ohio counties. You will plan, implement, and direct operations, and work with state and federal partners to resolve complex issues.

Travel among three counties is required, with on-call duties outside business hours. Applicants must obtain social work licensure within the agency's specified timeframe.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Six (6) years of experience in human services (case work, social work, counseling, child/adult services).
• Internal applicants may substitute four years in CPS/Child Welfare/Adult Protective Worker series with supervision.
• Additional education/experience may be substituted year-for-year per agency guidance.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, direct, and review CPS and Youth Services programs across three counties.
• Develop policies, coordinate operations, and liaise with state and federal partners.
• Collaborate with community partners to improve client services and outcomes.
• Travel frequently to Brooke, Hancock, and Ohio County offices; be on-call during non-business hours.
