• Knowledge of nursing practices, procedures, terminology, and laws related to long-term care.

• Direct the overall operation of the Social Services Department in accordance with current standards.
• Assist residents and their families in adjusting to placement and the plan of care.
• Ensure residents attain the highest practicable level of functioning.
