Genesis HealthCare, Inc. is seeking a Social Services Director to lead the Social Services Department in our nursing center.

You will ensure NASW Code of Ethics compliance and adherence to federal, state, and local guidelines while promoting patient independence, dignity, and quality of life. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in social work or a related human-services field and at least one year in a healthcare setting working as a supervised social worker.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in social work or related human-services field.
• One year in a healthcare setting as a supervised social worker is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Social Services Department in the nursing center per NASW Code of Ethics.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state and local guidelines and regulations.
• Foster a climate that maximizes patients' independence, dignity, and well-being.
• Directly supervise two or more Social Services staff when applicable.
• Educate staff and families on psychosocial needs and discharge planning.
