Job summary

Genesis is seeking a Social Services Director for our nursing center in West Virginia. The role emphasizes NASW-guided social work, ethics, and a resident-centered approach to enhance independence, dignity, and quality of life for patients and residents.

Lead and supervise Social Services staff, ensure psychosocial assessments, coordinate discharge planning, and educate teams while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local guidelines to deliver compassionate, holistic care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or Human Services.
• Valid state certification or licensure to practice social work in long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Social Services Department to ensure compliance with NASW Code of Ethics and state/federal regulations.
• Foster a climate that maximizes patient/resident independence, dignity, and quality of life.
• Directly supervise two or more Social Services staff and measure outcomes.
