Job summary

Mountain View Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Pineville, KY is seeking a Social Services Director to lead the department, guide patient care planning, and coordinate resources. The role emphasizes compliance with CMS and state regulations, staff development, and strong collaboration with physicians and nursing to ensure high-quality service.

The position requires a Master’s degree in a related field, licensure eligibility, and several years of behavioral health leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required in a related behavioral health field.
• Current Alabama licensure or license eligibility (LICSW, LMSW, LPC, ALC, LMFT or equivalent).
• Minimum three years of behavioral health experience.
• Minimum two years of progressive leadership experience.
• Acute inpatient psychiatric hospital experience preferred.
• Experience with CMS surveys and behavioral health regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight of the Social Services Department.
• Lead interdisciplinary Treatment Team meetings and support individualized patient care planning.
• Oversee psychosocial assessments, discharge planning, family meetings, and community resource coordination.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing, utilization review, admissions, and executive leadership to promote safe, high-quality patient care.
• Ensure compliance with CMS Conditions of Participation, Alabama Department of Mental Health requirements, HIPAA, EMTALA, and organizational policies.
• Monitor departmental performance, documentation quality, patient outcomes, and survey readiness.
• Promote patient rights, trauma-informed care, and a culture of accountability and service excellence
