A leading healthcare organization is seeking a Social Services Director to oversee operations within their Social Services department. You will be responsible for meeting the emotional and social needs of patients, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and providing excellent customer service. Per CMS guidelines, a qualified social worker for a facility with more than 120 beds is an individual with a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in social work or a bachelor’s degree in a human services field including, but not limited to, sociology, gerontology, special education, rehabilitation counseling, and psychology; and one year of supervised social work experience in a health care setting working directly with individuals.
Position Summary
The Social Services Director plans, organizes, develops, and directs the overall operation of the Social Services department to ensure all medically related emotional and social needs of patients are met in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards.
