Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced case manager to support refugees and immigrants across Allegheny County. You will assess clients, enroll them in case management and employment programs, and develop individualized short- and long-term plans toward self-sufficiency.

You will coordinate referrals with partner agencies, schools, healthcare systems, and government entities, provide benefit renewal assistance, and maintain confidential documentation in electronic and paper files.

Qualifications

• Experience providing services to refugees and immigrants in the United States or overseas is preferable.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
• Top-level organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends when required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive client assessments and enroll clients in case management and refugee employment programs
• Develop individualized short- and long-term case management plans focused on self-sufficiency
• Provide referrals and coordinate services with partner agencies, county human service providers, schools, healthcare systems, and government entities
• Assist clients with renewing benefits, applying for subsidized housing, scheduling medical appointments, and navigating public transportation
• Facilitate home visits and educate clients based on service plans and goals
• Advocate for clients to understand and access available resources
• Collaborate with interpreters, volunteers, mentors, and interns
• Travel across Allegheny County and Washington County to meet clients in person
• Facilitate one-on-one and group sessions promoting learning, resource sharing, skill-building, and social connection
• Participate in outreach to immigrant and underserved communities
• Maintain timely documentation of services, client progress, and milestones in electronic systems and paper files
• Ensure confidentiality and privacy compliance
• Support volunteers, mentors, and interns involved in program activities
• Perform additional tasks supporting program goals and the organizational mission

Requirements

• Access to a vehicle is required
• Bachelor’s Degree is a plus
• Must be able to sit for prolonged periods and work on a computer
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
