The State of Alaska is seeking a Social Services Associate in Juneau to ensure proper filing of PFD applications for minor children in state custody and to manage trust funds. This full-time role requires coordination with Revenue PFD Specialists and field staff to meet deadlines.
Strong interpersonal, computer, and detail-oriented skills are essential. The position is based in downtown Juneau and supports a public service mission, with Alaska residency required.

This Social Services Associate (SSA) is responsible for ensuring proper and complete filing of Alaska Permanent Fund Dividend (PFD) applications for all minor children in state custody and for holding dividend monies in trust. This position notifies all OCS Social Workers and Division of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) workers when PFD applications are due, follows up with reminder notices, requests hard copy applications (printed from PFD database) for and mails to the remote office locations. The SSA works directly with Revenue PFD Specialists to provide additional information required during investigations and appeals, which requires communication with field workers assigned to cases to ensure accurate information is obtained within deadlines administered by DOR staff.

The position is located in the heart of downtown Juneau, near many boutique businesses and cafes. The Office of Children's Services State Office is a fast-paced office that supports OCS staff statewide. You will be interacting regularly with staff, and resource families while collecting information and relaying it through the appropriate channels.
