Job summary

The Salvation ArmyWillimantic Corps in Willimantic, CT is seeking a part-time specialist to assist with emergency assistance services. The role focuses on intake interviews, client referrals, voucher coordination, and maintaining confidential client records.

You will work Tue-Fri, 9:00 am – 2:00 pm, 20 hours weekly, with opportunities to support seasonal programs and collaborate with the Corps Officer(s). A high school diploma and 2+ years in social services are required; bilingual

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate/bachelor in social services preferred.
• Minimum of two years in social services or related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and multitask.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate respect and professionalism with clients, staff, and volunteers.
• Administer the daily operation of the Emergency Assistance Program including interviews and referrals.
• Coordinate voucher program for shelter, utilities, clothing, and furniture.
• Maintain confidentiality and accurate client records in the system.
• Attend meetings and coordinate monthly statistics for services provided.
