Job summary

Omaha Tribe of Nebraska is seeking a detail-oriented administrative professional to support the CFS/ICWA program. You will manage the working database, file records, calendar court hearings, and file orders across jurisdictions, while coordinating communications with families and staff.

The role requires at least a GED, 2 years in related fields, and an emphasis on confidentiality, policy adherence, and community resources.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of two years' experience in social work, sociology, counseling, guidance, psychology, child development or related field.
  • Minimum of two years' experience in foster parent training or related field.
  • Associate's degree in related field or Bachelor's degree in listed fields.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the CFS/ICWA working database and update regularly while preserving the database.
  • Liaise between State and Tribal during child welfare proceedings and transfer of jurisdiction.
  • Act as a qualified expert witness for clients when requested.
  • Complete and submit reports to applicable courts, agencies, and programs as directed.
  • Schedule and participate in Family Team Meetings with all families.
  • Collaborate with tribal CFS/ICWA staff and other programs to ensure supportive services for children and families.
  • Collaborate with DHHS and outside agencies to ensure supportive services for children and families.
  • Coordinate with Family Resource Specialist to obtain information for placements as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
