Caring Professionals, Inc. seeks a Director of Social Services to oversee medically related social services for residents and their families, and to assist with maintaining or improving daily living abilities in collaboration with the Administrator and medical staff.

The role requires knowledge of policies and procedures for benefits and regulations of state and federal agencies, plus professional engagement and continuing education. Pay ranges from $18 to $25 per hour, depending on experience.

Job description

The Director of Social Services is responsible to the Administrator. The director shall provide medically related social services to meet the needs of the residents and their families, in order to assist with maintaining or improving the residents’ ability to manage their every day physical, mental, and psychosocial needs. This will involve working cooperatively with other personnel, the medical staff, social service agencies/organizations and third party payors.

A current working knowledge of appropriate policies and procedures concerning the various benefits and forms of assistance; along with requirements and regulations of state and federal agencies. The director must possess a general knowledge of communication skills and family dynamics. The director is expected to participate in professional organizations and continuing education related to the position.

Pay $18-$25 depending on experience.
