Job summary

NCI Affiliates in Paso Robles, CA seeks a Social Recreation Instructor to empower adults with disabilities by building social, recreational, and daily living skills. You will provide skill-building instruction at clients' homes and in the community, supporting independence and personal goals.

This part-time role offers a supportive work environment, a $23 hourly wage, a $250 sign-on bonus, PSLF eligibility, annual evaluations, and opportunities for professional growth while making a meaningful

Qualifications

• Valid California driver's license and auto insurance.
• Ability to pass a LiveScan background check.
• Patience, compassion, and the ability to serve as a positive role model for adults with disabilities.
• Flexibility and availability to work as scheduled.
• Basic computer and technology skills.

Responsibilities

• Encourage and instruct clients in developing self-advocacy and financial management skills.
• Support individuals in enhancing their social and community interaction abilities.
• Teach and promote appropriate leisure activities and effective use of free time.
• Provide training based on each individual's service plan to support the acquisition, retention, and improvement of adaptive skills and behaviors.
• Deliver instruction and support in clients' homes and community settings, focusing on skill development (no personal care required).
