Job summary

Arcus Foundation is seeking a part-time Communications Intern to support our fast-paced digital properties and editorial work from the New York City area. You will report to the Digital Communications Manager and gain hands-on experience across social media planning, website content, and grantee event promotion.

The internship is negotiable by class load, with at least one full semester or five months preferred.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled or alum of an undergraduate program or a graduate/postgraduate student.
  • Experience with social media and online publishing.
  • Strong written and verbal communication; interest in social justice and conservation issues.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute an editorial calendar and social media strategy with the Digital Communications Manager.
  • Assist with website maintenance, including drafting text and updating content.
  • Highlight grantee partners’ events in the Website Events section to raise awareness.
  • Monitor recent publications by grantees and update Publications section per guidelines.
  • Support gathering information for quarterly grantee listings on the site.
  • Assist in updating grantee records in the database and tracking web metrics.
  • Contribute to special editorial projects as needed.
