Job summary

Family Futures is seeking a Communications and Development Intern to support programmatic communications, donor relations, and event planning in Grand Rapids, MI. The role offers hands-on experience within a collaborative team and a focus on outreach, social media, and promotion for a spring fundraiser.

This in-person internship runs Jan 4, 2027 to Apr 23, 2027, with a $500 stipend to offset costs and potential college credit.

Qualifications

• Current college student or recent graduate
• Ability to work independently and with a team
• Strong communication, time management, organization, and Microsoft Office skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality, work autonomously, and be detail oriented
• Ability to work in-person at least 15 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Social Media content creation, management, and evaluation
• Appeal development and management
• Targeted outreach campaigns and community events
• Campaign analytics and reporting
• Donor communications and promotional materials
• Assist with planning and coordinating upcoming events (ex. Spring Fundraiser)
