Qualifications

• High School or equivalent required.
• Internship typically part of undergraduate program.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Ability to work in a team.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
• Knowledge of AP Writing Style, social media, video creation and editing.
• Great communications skills.
• Comfortable interviewing a variety of audiences.
• Ability to cultivate relationships with stakeholders.
• Studying Public Relations or Communications.

Responsibilities

• Assist in assessing and developing ARC communication materials (news releases, social media content development, storytelling).
• Conduct research related to communication materials.
• Assist with development of communications plans and strategies.
• Provide support and leadership guidance to volunteers.
• Work with media databases and Sprout Social Media Management.
• May support Communications team with research projects.
• Develop press materials and social media content (posts, reels, videos).
• Conduct interviews with volunteers, staff, public for story development.
• Attend events in person as needed.
• May create or maintain databases for lines of service events or projects.
• Assist with development of reports and informational materials for management.
